The Center emphasizes student-based explorations of ways in which societies shape and define different expectations for women and men, providing links to related events, student conferences and gender issues.
The Center operates under the ageis of the College of Liberal Arts at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. It brings together resources and scholars from several other academic units, including the Oral History of Appalachia Program and the Special Collections of the Morrow Library. New!! They invite humanities scholars to apply for resident fellowships, funded by the Rockefeller Foundation.
