An account of the largest disaster in Great Lakes history, November 7 - 10, 1913, when 15 ships sank, 31 were stranded on rocks and beaches, and 248 crew died.
Organized to collect, preserve, study and interpret the material culture of the lakes with emphasis on maritime history, U.S. Lifesaving Service, Lighthouse Service, and Coast Guard, and victims of the perils of maritime transport.
