|
The Fort Myer Military Community, or FMMC, is one of the United States Army's newest garrison commands, made up of two of its most historic installations: Fort Myer, Va., and Fort McNair, D.C. Formed in 1993, the FMMC is the Army's showcase organization in the National Capital Region. Forts Myer and McNair are home to the Army's most prestigious ceremonial units, the Military District of Washington, and the National Defense University.
As a sub-installation of Fort Belvoir, Va., and part of the Military District of Washington, Fort A.P. Hill provides an environment where U.S. armed forces come to hone their combat edge. Fort A.P. Hill is one of the nation's premier all-purpose, year-round, military training destinations.
