1885-1973 Founder of Sanbo Kyodan Zen
Trained at Eiheiji. Came to the United States in 1963. In 1982 he became the first Abbot of Minnesota Zen Meditation Center in Minneapolis. Dainin Katagiri, Roshi died in 1990.
Master Hauan Hua was one of the earliest Chinese Chan masters to have set foot in the USA. He received transmission in the Wei-Yang lineage from Master Hsu Yun. He founded the City of Ten Thousand Buddha in 1976 and passed away in 1995.

Ban Tetsugyu Roshi was a Dharma successor of Harada Roshi. He established two temples in Japan, Kannonji (Iwate) and Tetsugyuji (Oita). He retired from Toshoji on May 10,1992 and died Jan, 21, 1996.
