A multi-disciplinary international symposium convened for scientists, engineers and managers to discuss the latest advances in the scientific understanding, engineering and environmental issues of coastal processes. Offers field trips to coastal sites of Northern Ireland.
In-situ surveillance of the sediment-water interface. International conference and workshop aiming to bring together scientists with a proven capability for in-situ marine benthic experimentation.
Fourth International Symposium on Ocean Wave Measurement and Analysis.
IMA Workshop: Reduced Descriptions of Coupled GFD Systems (Slow Manifolds in the Ocean and Atmosphere).
The use of data assimilation in coupled hydrodynamic, ecological and bio-geo-chemical models of the ocean.
Three-dimensional ocean circulation: Lagrangian measurements and diagnostic analyses.
Hydrodynamical and ecosystem processes in ice covered seas of the Southern and Northern Hemispheres.
Marine turbulence revisited. In the last decade, with in particular the development of sophisticated new techniques of measurements, substantial progresses have been made in understanding marine turbulence while, in the same time, uncovering more of its complexity.
Modelling hydrodynamically dominated marine ecosystems.
The Conference theme is Forcing and Response in Coastal Dynamics, where the forcing may be natural or anthropogenic. This theme recognizes the importance in coastal research of looking at coastal processes as cause and effect. The theme encompasses field, laboratory, theoretical, and numerical studies, with emphasis on achieving comprehensive understanding of coastal processes and prediction of long-term and large-scale evolution of our coastlines.
